Julius Kramer was educated at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, The American Artists School and the Art Students League. He taught at the Franklin School in New York City and for the Cheshire Union in Massachusetts. He was a member of the Spiralist Group, a group dedicated to avant garde art in the 1950’s.
