Walker attended The Art Institute of Chicago. Walker is listed in Cedarholm Dictionary of Afro-American Artists. He was influenced by Norman Rockwell, and was one of the most popular artists at The South Side Community Art Center. He was a graphic artist for Walgreens until retirement, and has had work exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago.
