Born in Georgia, Wadsworth Jarrell’s artworks continue to capture themes of working life of African Americans in Chicago, as well as the sights and sounds of jazz musicians. In 1969, he co-founded AFRICOBRA. His work is in the DIA in Detroit and at the Studio Museum in Harlem.
