Important and talented painter who was born in England and came to the United States in 1938. He maintained a studio in NYC and in 1945 received an appointment as an instructor at Cornell University where he was on the faculty until his death in 1963. He has paintings in the collections of MOMA and the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
