SOLD

Major African-American artist active from Depression Era to present. Studied & showed at The Art Institute of Chicago with prizes won in 1945 & 1946. Awarded Rosenwald Grants in 1944 & 1945 and a Guggenheim in 1949.   Cortor died on Thanksgiving Day, 2015, a little over one month before his 100th birthday.
