In Suzanne Jackson’s description of feastbeast she writes, “feastbeast has taken all the “gifts”. In the process of making this piece, a very small idea of what I thought was a basis for adding paper to canvas became a continuous additive application; one of canvas shapes to sides, to middle, to front. Color was added on top, under and on backs of strips. The work on its own kept “eating” materials, begging for more and more parts to be added. Then when the meal was complete, more paint, more color and more rag edges were added.”
