Thomas Sills

(1914-2000)

Sills used rags, velvet, housepainter brushes, and even his own hands to create with industrial enamels, magnesite, and oil on wood, canvas or any other material he found useful.  Much later in his career, Sills would turn to collage as a medium.  In the article Sills continued by explaining that his wife encouraged his creativity and helped him get his first show with Betty Parsons
