John Ingliss Atkinson Jr.

(1909-1994)

Born in Brooklyn, he is known for his paintings, graphics, and sculptures. Some of his work has been exhibited at the US Government Printing Office in Washington D.C. in commemoration of the 75th  anniversary of the Proclamation of the 13th Amendment. His works have also been shown at the Society of Independent Artists in 1922 and in Chicago during the 1940 Art of the American Negro exhibit.
